Discovering the Digital Human Library with Leigh Cassell


Primary educator Leigh Cassell founded the Digital Human Library in 2011 after experimenting with video conferencing that helped her grade 2 classroom gain access to experts online in their rural setting.


The DHL has a mandate of connecting Canadian teachers and students with organizations and professionals around the world who could enrich classroom experiences and programming. It serves as a rich resource to over 80,000 educators annually by providing unlimited, free access to unique, authentic, and curriculum connected learning opportunities.
