Education is meaningless without student voice. The goal should never have (d)evolved to become the production of compliant learners asked only to regurgitate what was written in an outdated textbook. Students should be at the front and centre of their own educational choices. This means, pace of learning, content, and instructional styles. They need a seat at the table of their future that has not always been available. Through TED Ed Clubs, coding, and Indigenous-focused activities students are learning to discover, define, and develop their ideas worth spreading.
