Intended Learning Outcomes

The outcomes are co-created by TELO and the TELT Contact and DeLC leads from each region who review various sources of information related to learning needs collected throughout the 16/17 year, while considering Ministry priorities.

At the session, participants will:

  • co-plan with board teams, regions and cross-district, to address specific technology enabled learning needs and strategies
  • stay current with technological change in a rapidly evolving field which includes the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Ministry digital resources
  • engage in a professional learning cycle to address regional, district and Ministry priorities through technology enabled learning
  • actively participate and co-lead strategies and implementation for deeper learning including competencies and authentic learning tasks enabled by technology
  • reflect and record learning and provide feedback to drive district, regional and provincial future learning using digital technologies
  • leverage technology for data collection as evidence to inform iterative and responsive learning sessions
After the session, examples of what participants will be able to do include:
  • better perform their roles and responsibilities in promoting the effective uptake of technology in pedagogy
  • support school and system leaders in implementing SILC/BIPSA
  • help drive the uptake and effective use of digital resources
  • develop educator understanding of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and how to effectively leverage it from K to 12
  • work collaboratively, both regionally and provincially through online Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching communities
  • facilitate and lead district, regional and provincial professional learning both face to face and online to support technology enabled learning
