The gap between assistive and educational technology is now blurred. Students arrive to school with laptops, chromebooks, tablets; Google, iOS and Android. Students and teachers can use features, once considered assistive, such as speech-to-text and text-to-speech, as regular practice. Learn about free and paid Assistive Technology (AT) tools that can be used with all students, across devices, to support accommodations and allow students to access the curriculum. In this session you will explore some G Suite (formerly Google Apps for Education) tools and several free and paid extensions and add-ons with a focus on how they provide access for students and support specific strengths and needs. Read&Write for Google Chrome will be one of several tools spotlighted and several iOS accessibility options will also be covered.
