Welcome to TVO’s mPower! In this video, we are highlighting one of our creative online Kindergarten games: Critter Counting

In this game, players visit a park and learn about Quantity Relationships by subitizing quantities to 5 without having to count, using a variety of materials and strategies.

Players are shown a group of critters. Players are not given enough time to count the critters and must subitize to identify the quantity.

Players are shown two amounts and must click on the quantity that they think is correct.

If correct, stars burst on the screen.

[Game Sound]: They're two grasshoppers.

If the response is incorrect, hints are provided to aid the player.

[Game Sound]: Let's try another way! Count them.

Players must count the critters to determine the correct answer. As they tap each critter, players will hear them being counted out loud and see the corresponding numeral appear on the screen.

By the end of the game, players should be able to subitize quantities to 5 without having to count, using a variety of materials and strategies.
