Welcome to TVO’s mPower! In this video, we are highlighting one of our creative online Kindergarten games: More Fish, Less Fish.
In this game, players visit a school and learn about quantity relationships by investigating some concepts of quantity and equality through identifying and comparing sets with more, fewer, or the same number of objects.
Players must identify which group of fish represents the larger or smaller quantity.
Players choose the correct answer by tapping on one of the castles. If correct, stars burst on the screen.
[Game Sound]: Which group has less fish?
If the response is incorrect, hints are provided to aid the player. The fish will line up in a different way, allowing the player to try again.
By tapping each fish, players will hear the fish being counted in sequence and will see a corresponding numeral appear.
[Game Sound]: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Which group has more fish?
[Game Sound]: 7, 8, 9 Ya! Fantastic!
In between each game stage, there are fun activities in which players can tap on an interactive fish aquarium.
By the end of the game, players should be able to investigate some concepts of quantity and equality through identifying and comparing sets with more, fewer, or the same number of objects.
