As part of the Technology-Enabled Learning and Leading Initiative, the three principal associations, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, will be hosting for all Additional Qualification (AQ) instructors. The session will provide strategies to support the implementation of technology-enabled learning and leading into the delivery of AQ courses.


Donna Fry and Mark Carbone from Ontario School and System Leader Education Technology Massive Open Online Community (OSSEMOOC) are facilitators for this special learning opportunity.


Donna and Mark will co-construct with AQ instructors:


  • an exploration of new and emerging technologies for effective learning and leading
  • a shared understanding of safe and responsible use in order to support informed decision-making and
  • innovative thinking about the complexity of learning and leading in a digital world

Mark is an educator with 35 years experience. He currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Waterloo Region District School Board Ontario. His experience includes a variety of roles -- secondary classroom teacher, department head, an ICT consultant and IT Manager.

Donna is the Provincial Lead for the Technology-Enabled Learning and Teaching, on secondment to the Ontario Ministry of Education.

She has over 30 years of experience in publicly-funded schools in Ontario as a teacher, administrative head, online instructor, alternative education teacher, vice-principal and principal. She served as an Education Officer with the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Branch -- eLearning Ontario.
